5 (10)cm, Bog Violet has become a rare and threatened species native from marshes and bogs in Central Europe to northwestern Asia. It makes broad heartshaped to almost round leaves and rich inkblue flowers. Easily grown in any humus rich, always slightly moist soil in a sunny spot. V-VII.
