Aeonium urbicum |
100 (150)cm, one out of few species which will not branch unless the vegetative central point of the rosette is being injured or destroyed. Forms a broad rosette of about 0.5 m in diameter (!) on a stout stem, which will raise up to 1m in height. It has a large dome shaped, yellowish green inflorescence in July. Plants will die down after flowering and can be propagated either by cuttings (the vegetative point of the rosette has to be cut off) or, more easily, by seeds. Seedlings will reach flowering-size within only 3 years after sowing, sometimes in even less time as seedlings are heavy growers. Barranco de San Andrés, 200m. More Details » |
