90 (150)cm, Anise Hyssop is a rhizomatous perennial with slightly hairy, deep green, very aromatic leaves with an anise-like flavor on usually unbranched stems. The dense terminal clusters consist of numerous fragrant pink to lilac flowers. This species is native of rich soils in open spots in woods and dry prairies in the northern USA.
