300 (400)cm, real Titan Arum makes the largest inflorescence of all Titans and is native of tropical forests in Sumatra. Makes a white spotted dark green pseudo-stem which may reach up to 4m in height and which is topped by a giant, dark green, umbrella like leaf up to 3m ø. The spectacular inflorescence is composed of a huge, wine red, recurved spathe and a massive bright yellow spadix. The entire inflorescence may gain up to 2.80m / 9 feet in height! Adult specimens may develop a flower every 3 to 5 years. For a warm, partially shaded spot with a minimum of some 25°C throughout the year. Requires a constantly high air humidity. For a humus rich, very well drained, slightly moist soil. Keep dormant plants rather dry. Hard grown, healthy corms from in-vitro propagated plants.
