30 (40)cm, seeds of plants originally received as Arisaema japonica from Japan, yet plants are very different, and might belong to a different species. Plants have two leaves, each consisting of five, dark green leaflets, which are much broader than in typical Arisaema serratum. Fresh green, quite broad spathe and lighter green spadix. Very decorative, bright orange red, compact fruit head at the end of summer. Easily grown in any slightly moist, humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny to partially shaded spot. IV-V.
