Arum maculatum (Jack-in-the-Pulpit)
20 (30)cm, Jack-in-the-Pulpit is native of Central Europe where it occurs in humus rich, slightly wet soils in open spots in woods. Makes yellowish green spathes with a middle brown spadix, followed by ornamental bright orange seed heads in late summer. The leaves are either plain green or spotted dark brown.
