3 (7)m, Yatay Jelly Palm is native of South America. A spectacular garden plant, hardier than Butia capitata and very wind resistant. Similar in appearance, yet with bluish green leaves and similar requirements as Butia capitata. Excellent for a cold greenhouse in colder areas (Central Europe). If some seeds do not germinate in the first year of sowing, keep pots cooler (yet frostfree) and the soil semi-moist during winter.
