Dracaena cinnabari (Socotra Dragon Tree) Exclusive |
2 (10)m, Socotra Dragon Tree, an absolute rarity! Not native to the Canary islands, but growing several thousand kilometers farer east on the island of Socotra (Yemen), where it is restricted to the zones of submontane thickets and montane grasslands. It is closely related to the Gran Canaria Dragon Tree (Dracaena tamaranae) - it's east African counterpart ! Differs in having more narrow and strongly leathery leaves, an erect stem and a very broad leaf crown, which altogether resembles a huge mushroom. This species is not available elsewhere, a real gem. A first time offering and very few available only, each some 12cm/4.4" in height and with 5 to 7 fully developed leaves. More Details » |
