Dracaena tamaranae

Dracaena tamaranae
3 (10)m, Gran Canaria Dragon Tree, an only recently (around 1998) discovered species native of exposed sites in steep cliffs in SW Gran Canaria. Makes very strong, upright, channeled, bright yellowish green leaves. A beautiful, slow growing dragon tree, which is extremely rare and highly endangered in its habitat. For any rich, very well drained, rather stony soil in full sun. Keep drier in winter at a minimum of some 15°C.
Note: At present we try to propagate plants by means of leaf cuttings, which is extremely difficult and may hopefully result in a handful of small plants in the year 2007. Please check this site by and then for updated information. We regret not to accept pre-orders.
