2 (4)cm ø, differs from all other Greenovia species by its densely pubescent (=hairy) dark green leaves. It is absolutely rare in nature, occurring only in very few sites in remote and almost inaccessible locations in the Southern parts of Tenerife in higher elevations. This is the first time that this species is being offered to the public. Even in botanical gardens it is rarely, if ever seen. It makes naturally small rosettes with few offsets with some 2 to 4cm in diameter. The flowering stem reaches up to 12 cm / 5.2" and bears many golden yellow flowers in February/April. Originally from Northeastern side of the Ladera de Güímar at some 950m. Each plant makes few seed sufficient for one package only, thus these cannot not be offered at a lower price. More Details » |
