2 (4)m, tall annual from a perennial rootstock under frostfree conditions. Very fast-growing, with prickly stems. Large 10cm ø yellow flowers with a purple center. Suited for any slightly moist, well drained soil and a partially shaded position. Grow either as a perennial in pots and keep plants cooler at a minimum of 15°C, sunny and drier in winter or as an annual in the garden with precultivation in spring and transplantation after last cold nights.
