Iris flavissima
15 (25)cm, native of dryish grasslands in East Asia (Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and Russia). Similar to the closely related Iris humilis with slightly creeping rhizomes, bright green leaves and showy yellow flowers with brownish markings. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. V.10 seeds per package.
