40 (70)cm, herbaceous Chilean perennial with grass like leaves and tall stalks with several white flowers with lilac-pink veins. For any rich, very well drained, rocky soil in a sunny spot. Protect from winter wetness and give some extra winter protection (e.g. thick dry mulch layer). Alternatively grow in pots, in winter keep dormant bulbs completely dry and frostfree at some 5°C.
