3 (7)m, Purple Banana Passionfruit or Curuba India is a perennial species native of highlands in Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. It is a very decorative climber with pendulous, large, trumpet shaped rose red flowers and orange-yellow to reddish-orange banana like, soft fruits with an orange pulp. Excellent for juices in either water or milk with some sugar added. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot throughout the year and a winter minimum of some 10°C with reduced watering. A cold tolerant species. VII-X. More Details » |
