100 (170)cm, biannual to semiperennial with an erect stem with large, fresh green to olive green, heart shaped, serrated leaves, white-wooly below and a large terminal inflorescence of numerous almost white to pale rose, pink or lilac flowers. Native of rich, slightly moist soils in northern to central Gran Canaria. Populations in western parts of the island show a more compact growth and have broader, always pale rose petals.
