2 (4)m, Japanese Mock Orange is an evergreen medium sized to tall woody shrub from open spots in Eastern Asia and has ornamental, leathery, glossy, dark green, oblong oval leaves and terminal clusters with creamy-white, strongly fragrant flowers followed by round yellowish fruits containing persisting, bright orange fox brown seeds embedded in an oily, sticky substance.
