30 (80)cm, subalpine member endemic to the Cañada depression on Tenerife at some 2000m. A freely branching, woody shrub, with short, ovoid to lanceolate leaves and numerous bright pink flowers. For any rocky, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Ideal for the unheated alpine house or cold wintergarden. Might be tried in the open garden in a protected, sunny spot with shelter from rain.
