100 (150)cm, makes a beautiful basal rosette with narrow, silvery- gray foliage and upright stems with reddish-violet funnel shaped flowers. For any rich, very well drained, rocky soil. Native of highlands in South America (Chile). In Central Europe this frost resistant member may be tried out in the garden in full sun with protection from winter wetness.
