Romulea luteoflora
10 (20)cm, makes showy lemon yellow flower cups with a dark brown basis of petals. Native of loamy soils from Kamiesberg and Cedarberg Mountains to Riversdale, western Karoo and Lesotho. Requires a good winter protection (i.e. dry mulch layer). Best grown in pots under frostfree conditions in a cool greenhouse or wintergarden with reduced watering and a winter minimum of some 5°C.
