10 (15)cm, makes yellow to apricot flower cups. Native of sandy flats from Bokkeveld Mountains and western Karoo to Port Elizabeth. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Requires a good winter protection (i.e. dry mulch layer). Best grown in pots under frostfree conditions in a cool greenhouse or wintergarden with reduced watering and a winter minimum of some 5°C.
