Salvia viscosa
80 (120)cm, a semiperennial to biannual, fully hardy sage with a dense basal rosette of broad yellowish green leaves with a distinctive fragrance. It makes very tall racemes with loosely arranged lilac to reddish-violet flowers. From one of the few remaining cedar forests in Ma'asser ech Chouf (Lebanon) at some 1.850m. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in full sun with some protection from winter dampness. VI-VII.
