100cm, Jaltomate makes fresh green, pubescent leaves on laxly branching stems with greenish yellow axillary flowers, followed by green, hazelnut-sized fruits with a recurved calyx. Fruits are turning glossy black on ripening and have an aromatic, light sweet-juicy taste. Easily grown in any humus rich soil in a partially shaded spot. Note: Do not confuse with the very similar Deadly Bittersweet Nightshade (Solanum dulcamara), being native throughout Europe and North America !
