Scilla hyacinthoides
25 (40)cm, a rarely cultivated, most decorative, very tall Scilla native of south-eastern Europe extending to the south-eastern Mediterranean, growing in slightly moist meadows. Makes 8 to 12 leaves, and a lax inflorescence of up to 150 bright purplish blue flowers. IV-V.
