120 (300)cm, Kangaroo Apple or Poroporo, a fast growing tall shrub bright blue to mauve flowers, which are followed by small egg shaped, green berries (toxic) turning bright orange yellow when ripe. Has deeply dissected, lanceolate, dark green, shiny leaves. Native of Australia (from Auckland south to Dunedin). For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Grow as a pot plant.
