Verbascum epixanthinum
30 (50)cm, an only in 1999 newly discovered beautiful dwarf species from the Vikos Gorge (Ipeiros province) in north western Greece at an altitude of some 1335 m. It makes a dense basal rosette of broadly lanceolate, silvery grayish to yellowish green leaves and a short, compact spike with large, bright yellow flowers. For any rich, well drained soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. VII-VIII.
