180 (250)cm, Showy Mullein is a very tall species with large, broad, white velvety leaves and slightly to strongly branching spike of bright sulfurous yellow flowers. Differs from the very similar Verbascum densiflorum by leaves which are attached to the stem only, in Verbascum densiflorum the leaf's base slightly surrounds the stem like a wing.
