Viola dubyana (Duby Violet)
10 (15)cm, Duby Violet is native of the southern Alps where it occurs in a very restricted area close to the Lake Garda in rock crevices at up to 2000m. Makes quite large dark purplish blue flowers with a darker lilac center on the lower petals and a whitish yellow eye above dark green, narrow leaves. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. V-VIII.
