Scabiosa cretica ssp. cretica (Balearic Pincushion Flower)

70 (100)cm, Balearic Pincushion Flower is a woody perennial with numerous beautiful pink flowers. Unlike its name suggest, this species is native of mountainous regions on Mallorca (Spain) and Sicily (Italy). An excellent container plant for any rich, very well drained soil in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep plants drier at a minimum of some 10°C in full sun. VI-VIII.
