Galinsoga parviflora (Guasca)

20 (40)cm, Guasca is an annual plant from South America. Fresh leaves are an essential ingredieitn to Colombian "Ajiaco Santafereño" or "Ajiaco Bogotano". This delicious thick soup contains three different potatoe types, chicken and whole maize cobs. Sow seeds flat directly to the groung in mid spring in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Note: This species may become invasive, if it is not controlled ! V-VIII.
