30 (50)cm, Amazonian Basil (syn. Ocimum micranthum) is a low growing annual to biannual species from Florida, to Mexico, Central America and South America. It makes short flowers spikes with very small rose flowers. Its' leaves are very aromatic and used in local dishes in the Amazon region of Brazil. For any rich, well drained substrate in full sun and at a minimum of some 20°C throughout the year. VII-IX. |
