Pulsatilla montana (Mountain Pasque Flower)

20 (30)cm, Mountain Pasque Flower makes exceptionally beautiful, dark maroon-red to plum lilac flowers in early spring, which are followed by ornamental fluffy seed heads as in most Pulsatilla species. Pulsatilla montana is native of rocky meadows in the Alps. Easily cultivated in any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. III-IV.
