Sphaeralcea incana (Gray Globemallow)

140 (180)cm, Gray Globemallow makes impressively tall, upright, semi woody stems with numerous brilliant orange flowers above gray wooly leaves. Sphaeralcea incana is a perennial from the Chihuahuan Desert and Sonoran Desert in southwestern USA and northern Mexico. As this globemallow is not winterhardy, it is best grown in pots under frostfree conditions. For any rich, very well drained substrate in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter water plants carefully and keep them at a minimum of some 12°C. VI-IX.
