Wild tulips are usually dwarf to medium sized species which are excellent in a protected spot in the alpine or rockery garden. All species are easily grown in any well drained soil in a sunny position. Sow flat from autumn to late spring in any rich, yet well drained, rather sandy soil. Keep pots outside in a sheltered and sunny spot. Pre-cultivation in pots for two years, transplant young bulbs after leaves have yellowed or withered in summer or late autumn. All are USDA Climate Zone 6 20 seeds per package. |
