Asian Hound's-Tongue have a similar growth habit as Eurasian Cynoglossum species with broad, bristly leaves arranged in a basal rosette and an upright hold, lax inflorescence with blue, rose or purple flowers. They are annual to biannual subtropical species native from Asia Minor to India, East Asia and Australia. Most can be grown as annuals in temperate and cold climate. All are easily grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. Sow seeds flat in any rich, well drained soil from autumn to early spring at some 20°C under frostfree conditions. Transplant to the final spot in the garden as soon as seedlings are strong enough. 20 seeds per package. |
