Phlomis cypria ssp. occidentalis (Western Cyprus Jerusalem Sage)

90 (120)cm, Western Cyprus Jerusalem Sage is a perennial woody shrub with showy bright yellow flower whorls above greyish-green, smoothly hairy leaves. It is native of open rocky spots in Western Cyprus wehre it has become rare due to ongoing destruction of ifs habitat. For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot throughout the year. In colder regions best grown in pots under frostfree conditions at a winter minimum of some 10°C and reduced watering. VII-VIII.
