Origanum vulgare (Wild Marjoram)

30 (80)cm, is a perennial commonly found in the Mediterranean region and central Europe. It bears upright stems from a woody base and terminal clusters of pale rose flowers. The broadly oval to elliptical leaves have a slightly bitter, very aromatic smell. Easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. V-VIII.
