Allium meteoricum

15 (20)cm, dwarf species, makes a compact umbel of mid-pink, nodding, cylindrical flowers with nicely contrasting yellow anthers above elegant, narrow leaves. Native of sunny, rocky slopes in Turkey. For any well drained soil in a sunny spot, excellent in the rock garden. A rarely offered species. VI-VII.
