Knautia drymeia ssp. drymeia (Hungarian Widow Flower)

30 (50)cm, Hungarian Widow Flower is native in mountain meadows in Hungary and the Balkans. It has numerous purplish-blue flowers above broad, slightly serrated, pubescent leaves in a lax basal rosette. Easily cultivated in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. VI-VIII.
