15cm, a nice, clump forming species with broader, yellow green leaves and numerous, quite large bright yellow, star shaped flowers for along time. Native of south-western USA (Sonora Desert) extending south to subalpine meadows in N South America (Colombia, Páramo de Chingaza). For any rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. V-VI.
