Hibiscus cannabinus (Kenaf Hibiscus)

150 (200)cm, Kenaf Hibiscus is a fast-growing, tall annual or semi-perennial. It produces pale yellow flowers with a purplish-red center on prickly stems. Easily grown in any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny position. Grow either as a perennial in pots and keep plants in full sun and cooler at a minimum of some 15°C in winter, or as an annual in the garden with precultivation in spring and transplantation after the last cold nights. Hibiscus cannabinus, Hibiscus furcellatus and Hibiscus radiatus are hopelessly confused by several other vendors.
