100 (170)cm, Meyer's Hibiscus is a small woody, slender shrub with hairy, small serrated ovate leaves and small white flowers with reflexing petals, turning pale whitish pink with age. Hibiscus meyeri is native of open sites in mountain forests from Mozambique to eastern South Africa. It is sometimes confused with somewhat similar Hibiscus micranthus, which has even smaller flowers. For any rich, well drained substrate in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter keep drier at a minimum of some 15°C. VI-IX. |
