Trillium chloropetalum (Giant Wake Robin)

30 (40)cm, Giant Wake Robin is a herbaceous species with a perennial rootstock. It makes a single leaf with three large leaflets topped by a single white or maroon flower fading to rose. It is native of open spots in humus rich soils in woods in western North America from Washington to Oregon and California. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a partially shaded spot. IV-V.
