Leuzea rhapontica (Giant Scabiosa)

100cm, Giant Scabiosa makes most ornamental, stout upright stems each topped by a solitary, very large, bright lilac flower ball. A rarely cultivated, long-lived perennial from the Altai Mountians in southern Siberia. Seeds will be always very scarce as plants in cultivation make only very few viable seeds. For any rich, very well drained soil in full sun. Excellent in the rock garden. V.
