120 (200)cm, Borhidi's Guano Palm is an exceptionally ornamental small species from costal areas in the Matanzas Province in Cuba, where it is critically endangered due to habitat loss. Coccothrinax borhidiana is a very slow growing species which can be perfectly grown in larger pots for many years. Its' dark green fan leaves are short stalked and will enclose the short and stout stem over time. For any rich, fertile and well drained substrate in a sunny spot throughout the year. In winter reduce watering and keep plants at a minimum of some 15°C. A very rare and highly desirable species. |
