Salvia columbariae (Chia Sage)

40 (60)cm, Chia Sage is a showy annual species from Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico (USA). In Mexico it is cultivated for its medicinal properties. It has beautiful light blue flowers arranged in dense whorls and is easily grown in any rich, well drained soil in a sunny and protected spot in the garden. Sow directly to the ground in the garden in mid spring. VII-VIII.
