Papaver rhoeas (Field Poppy)

20 (30)cm, Field Poppy is an annual to biannual Eurasien species with showy bright scarlet flowers above filigrane leaves. Easily cultivated in an rich, well drained, preferably slight rocky soil in full sun. Sow flat directly after the last freezing nights in mid spring. Do not cover seeds with soil. Under appropriate conditions this species will readily seld-sow. V-VII.
