Tagetes minuta (Huacatay)

160 (220)cm, Huacatay or Guacatay is an easily grown tall annual to semi perennial Tagetes species with numerous small whitish-yellow flowers above dissected, aromatic leaves which are widely used fresh in traditional Peruvian cookery. For any rich, well drained substrate in full sun throughout the year. Transplant to the garden by the end of spring as soon as temperatures will stay above 15°C or grow in pots in a warm and sunny spot. VI-IX.
