Primula hirsuta (Hairy Primrose)

10cm, Hairy Primrose is a dwarf species with short stems covered with sticky, mid-green leaves and several pale violet flowers. It is native of mountain meadows and rock crevices in Austria, Switerland, northern Italy, southern France and nort-eastern Spain. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a sunny spot. An excellent plant for the rock garden. III-V.
