Swainsona canescens (Grey-leafed Desert Pea)

30 (50)cm, Grey-leafed Desert Pea is a showy perennial from arid areas in mostly central and south-western Australia. Swainsona canescens makes ascending to suberect shoots with greyish-green, feathered and hairy leaves and dense terminal spikes with ornamental pale pink flowers with dark violet lower lips. For any rich, very well drained, preferably inorganic substrate in full sun throughout the year with reduced watering in winter at a minimum of some 20°C if grown as a perennial. III-VI.
