Trillium ovatum (Western Wake Robin)

20cm, Western Wake Robin is a beautiful herbaceous species with a perennial rootstock. It makes a single leaf with three glossy leaflets topped by a single white or occasionally maroon flower fading to rose and pale brown. It is native of open spots in humus rich soils in woods in northwestern North America. For any humus rich, well drained soil in a partially shaded spot. IV-V.
